LinkedIn wants to sell your advice for you (and I want yours too)

I’m changing things at Social Honeycomb – read on to find out more.

In a hurry? The whole issue in 4 lines

  • Social Honeycomb: I’m reshaping my services and would love your view. Three quick questions below, just hit reply.
  • LinkedIn: Coaches and consultants in the US can now sell paid one-to-one calls straight from their profile. It isn’t in the UK yet but it won’t be long.
  • Meta: Muse for Small Business is an AI assistant that can plan, analyse and draft across your accounts. It’s US and Canada only for now but as above, I’m sure it won’t be long before it arrives here.
  • Instagram: You can now boost a Live from inside the app and soon you will be able to ask Edits AI Assistant to critique your reels.

So this month is a little different. Before the platform news, I’m sharing what I’ve been working on behind the scenes and asking for your honest opinion.

Behind the scenes at Social Honeycomb

I’ve spent the last few months looking hard at what you actually need from me. The answer kept coming back to the same thing. More of you want to run your social media yourselves, or have someone in your team do it, and you want the confidence and systems to do it well. So that’s where I’m heading. Less doing it for you, more helping you and your team do it properly.

This is what I’m planning:

  • Game Changers Workshops. Back, but in person and local, four times a year, each with a theme such as planning, video, AI or LinkedIn.
  • Power Hours. Staying put, because they’re my favourite! You’ll now get written action notes within 48 hours alongside the recording.
  • Social Media Health Check. My audit with a new name. A recorded video walkthrough of up to three platforms, a one-page priority list and a follow-up call.
  • Social Media Blueprint. A half-day strategy workshop and a written plan your team can follow from day one.
  • Team Training Days. Hands-on training on your own accounts for up to six people, in the Cotswolds, on Zoom or beyond!
  • In-House Launchpad. Three months of support when you hire or appoint someone to look after your social media. I build the plan, set things up and coach your new person.
  • Sounding Board. A monthly strategy call and a second pair of eyes on your content plan and results.
  • AI Content Assistant set-up. I build you your own AI assistant that knows your brand voice, so what it helps you write actually sounds like you.

Nothing is set in stone yet, which is exactly why I’m asking for your thoughts. Hit reply and tell me:

  1. Which of these would you be most likely to use?
  2. What gets in the way of your social media right now? Time, confidence, skills or staff?
  3. Workshops: in person or Zoom?

Even a one-word answer helps, and I will read every reply.

What’s new on the platforms

LinkedIn

You can now sell paid consultations from your LinkedIn profile

Advice Sessions adds a “Get advice from me” button so people can book and pay for a one-to-one video call without leaving LinkedIn. The catch is that it’s only available in the US for Premium Business subscribers, with a wider rollout promised. If you’re a coach or consultant, keep an eye on it, and make sure your profile clearly says what you help people with so you’re ready when it lands here.

Meta

Meta has launched an AI assistant that can work across your whole business

Muse for Small Business connects to your Instagram and Facebook insights, your ad account and tools like Shopify, QuickBooks and Canva. You can ask it to draft a growth plan, spot what’s working in your ads or write a week of posts, and Meta says it won’t publish or spend anything without your approval. It’s US and Canada only for now. When it arrives, think carefully before handing any confidential information over to it.

Instagram

You can now boost a Live without going near Ads Manager

Tap Boost when you set up a Live, choose your audience and timings, and Instagram shows your broadcast across Feed, Stories and Reels while you’re on air. Instagram suggests setting it up at least two hours ahead. If you run classes, events or launches on Live, this is worth a small test budget. If you never go Live, ignore it.

Edits now has an AI assistant that explains why your Reels worked (or didn’t)

In Instagram’s Edits app you can ask questions like “what’s working on my account?” and it looks at your views, watch time, shares and comments to suggest ideas, hooks, captions and scripts. It’s free with a daily limit but only available in the US for now. When it reaches the UK, let it do the analysis and keep the creative decisions for yourself. Otherwise we’ll all end up posting the same Reel!

Thanks for reading, and I’m really looking forward to hearing what you think.
