6 New LinkedIn Updates You Need to Know About (And How to Make the Most of Them!)

LinkedIn is on a roll lately, introducing not just one, but six exciting updates that could seriously level up your presence and visibility on the platform.

These features are currently being rolled out across user accounts, so if you haven’t seen them yet, keep your eyes peeled. If you have access, now’s the time to start experimenting and get ahead of the curve!

1. LinkedIn Profile Banner Slideshow

New Profile Feature Alert!

Your static profile banner is getting a major facelift,  as you can now upload a slideshow of rotating images instead of just the one image from before.

Think of it as a mini billboard for your brand or business so now you can:

  • Showcase different services
  • Promote events or offers
  • Highlight client wins or testimonials

Tip: Make sure each image has a consistent visual style and tells part of your brand story.

This feature is still rolling out, so don’t panic if you haven’t received it yet. And if you do? I’d love to know how you’re using it!

If you do have it I would love to know how you’re using it!

2. Newsletter Analytics Just Got Better

Finally, they’ve listened and delivered! LinkedIn newsletters now come with real insights.

You can now see:

  • How many emails were sent
  • What their open rates are

This is a big step forward for anyone using newsletters as part of their content strategy. It’s great to finally have some insight into what’s working — and what’s not.

Head to your newsletter dashboard to see if it’s live for you yet!

3. LinkedIn Video Feed Now on Desktop

LinkedIn’s short-form video feed, which was previously only available on mobile, has officially landed on your desktop.

You can now scroll through a dedicated video feed directly from your browser.

I’m wondering if this is next big thing for LinkedIn, or just another distraction.

Time will tell, but if video is part of your content plan, this could increase your reach significantly.

4. LinkedIn Premium Duo — A Shared Subscription Option

Introducing LinkedIn Premium Duo, a shared plan where two users can benefit and save money at the same time:

  • 15% off one account
  •  25% off the second

Perfect for your partners, colleagues, or business besties who want access to Premium tools but without paying premium prices..

At present the setup is a little clunky (you’ll need to cancel and re-subscribe), but the savings might just make it worth it.

Who would you share this with?

5. Profile Appearances: Now With More Detail

LinkedIn has upgraded the “Who’s viewed your profile” section  and it’s so much more insightful now.

You can now see where your profile appeared, including:

  • In search results
  • On the “Recommended for you” tab
  • In posts
  • And (drumroll…) from comments you’ve made!

Yes! your comments are now trackable for discovery impact.

Time to rethink your comment strategy? (Hint: Yes.

6. Comment Impressions Are Here

This one’s a big deal…

LinkedIn now shows impression counts for your comments. That means you can see how many people saw your comment, even if they didn’t interact.

Applies to both:

  • Personal profiles
  • Company Pages

Finally, proof that thoughtful commenting boosts your visibility.

If you’ve been avoiding LinkedIn engagement, now’s the time to show up in the comments, not just your own posts.
