In At the Deep End
Have you ever given up? Decided it’s not worth it? I have.

Many years ago I was in a horrid car accident which resulted in a long stay in hospital and far too many months on crutches (although I can do great tricks on them). Up until then, I was sporty, I rode, I sailed, I swam and I played all the school sports. That stopped overnight. I did go back to most of the sports, but it was never the same, it hurt, I wasn’t as good as I had been so I gave up.
That was until about 10 years ago when I rediscovered swimming. My husband was into triathlons and the only time I got to see him was in the pool! I hated front crawl, I hated open water swimming, it was all awful. The weeds, the wetsuit, you could say that I was just a little bit out of my comfort zone! But for some reason,I didn’t give up, I persevered with the help of some friends. Now I love it, I love the freshwater, I love the exercise. I’ve learnt to cycle (cleats and all, although I did fall over a few times) and I compete in aqua bikes and other events. (I leave the running part of triathlons to those without dodgy hips).
Why am I telling you this? Well, that’s because I want you to understand why I am so passionate about helping people and businesses who promote sports, health and wellbeing.
I want to help you to help people like me to get back into sport and exercise, to stop thinking “I can’t” and start thinking “I can”.
